Philosophy
The heritage of bespoke, expressed with the precision of software.
Synergy Garment Technology exists in the space between two disciplines that rarely speak: centuries-old tailoring craft, and modern systems engineering. We believe the future of custom apparel belongs to houses that master both.
Our vision
Tailoring is the original personalization engine.
Long before software promised made-to-order, tailors were solving a hard problem: translate one human body into a two-dimensional geometry that will hang correctly in three. They solved it with apprenticeship, repetition and an internal model of anatomy that took decades to build.
That model is remarkable. It is also fragile, slow to reproduce and impossible to scale by hiring. Meanwhile the industry has an abundance of what tailoring lacks: parametric systems, rule engines, version control and measurable tolerances.
Our work is the bridge. We extract the tailor's model, formalise it in apparel CAD and our proprietary automation layers, and hand the house back a backend that produces its own fit signature on demand — at any volume, in any market.
Principles
What we believe
Craft is data that hasn't been written down
A master pattern maker is running a model. Our work is to surface it, test it and express it in rules — not to replace the judgement, but to make it transferable.
Fit belongs to the house, not the individual
A tailoring house's fit signature is its most valuable IP. It should sit in documented libraries and software, insured against retirement, illness and resignation.
Deskilling is respect, not reduction
When the system carries the complexity, skilled people stop repeating drafting work and start doing judgement work: new blocks, harder bodies, better product.
Automation must survive a Monday morning
Anything we build has to run under real order pressure, with real operators and real fabric behaviour. Elegance that fails on the floor is not a deliverable.
Method
How we think about fit
- Anatomy
- Posture, stance, shoulder slope, blade and drop are treated as measurable parameters, not intuition.
- Mathematics
- Every alteration is a function with inputs, bounds and tolerances — reviewable, versionable and testable.
- Feedback
- Fit outcomes and alteration data flow back into the rule set, so the system gets better with every order.
